Kirkenes Motorklubb organizes on our 20th anniversary: 

World Championship in Snowcross and Womens World Cup 2023 28-30 April in Kirkenes the World’s best Snowcross athletes are racing to win the WC titles at our season ending event.

We welcome the public, racers, exhibitors, and sponsors to our biggest event to date. We are pushing harder than ever at our 20th anniversary with this event and expect thousands of people to the arena during the weekend.

Time schedule: Friday Practice 12.00-20.00

Saturday World Championship/Cup / Freestyle 09.00-17.00 Sunday

The Track:

Race will be held on a spectacular “stadium track” in centrum of Kirkenes. Approx. 20 min from Airport. The course will consist of rhythm sections, tight turns and big jumps! (Short, tight and intense) The track is in the middle of a snow depot, so we have plenty of snow available, even in the end of April.

Facilities and entertainments: 

There will be an outdoor concert during the day, outdoor Café, close by indoor restaurant for dining, exhibitors, market stalls, kids race and to top it all a mind-blowing Snowmobile freestyle show!

Concert, banquet and afterparty: On Saturday Evening a big afterparty with banquet, exclusive prize ceremony and concerts are arranged. We have reserved a big indoor sports arena. This arena has been drilled out inside a mountain (Fjellhallen) and will for sure bring a different feeling for guest. The evening event is held only a 10min walk from the racetrack and handled by a professional music festival director, so expect an exciting evening.

Accommodation: 

For stay and parking there is several hotels and accommodations in Kirkenes you can contact. Be early for booking. For those who want to be close to the event all weekend there will be a camp for motorhomes, caravans and tents at the race depot/parking!

For the kids Kids track will be available to anyone who wants to try snow cross whole weekend. There will also be held a kids race on Sunday.

Last Words: 

There is still some planning left to be done but the event has been in preparation for almost a year, and now lately converted into WC after the cancellation of all sports events in Turkey due to the earthquake situation. It is terribly sad, and our thoughts go out to the people of Turkey. The track and venue will be built as the drawings show, with focus on the audience experience. Some changes and expansions will likely come according to FIM Regulations and as we procced with the preparations.

This is going to be a spectacular and fast-paced weekend!
